Walton, the country’s leading electrical, electronics, automobile and home appliance manufacturing and marketing company, has been awarded ISO 18001:2007 Certificate.
Walton has achieved the prestigious industrial recognition for assessing and complying with occupational health and safety management systems. Walton authorities believe the recognition will intensify the image of the company and Bangladesh as well to the world.
UK based HSQ department has issued the OHSAS 18001(International Organization for Standardization) certificate. The assessment of the organization about Walton is that the company has successfully adopted sound occupational health and safety management systems, efficient staff management, minimize the risk of accidents and achieved adequate corporate reputation ensuring the standard of products and combining the above to minimize the production cost.
The certificate has been awarded after assessing the company’s work environment, health and safety performances. The certificate has issued based on the abilities of the company to maintain the quality and standard of its products ensuring a healthy, safe and friendly occupational environment for the workers. Besides, the schemes of Walton High-Tech Industries to enhance the efficiency of the employees adopting friendly rules and regulations have also been highly recognized. The authorities concerned hope that the internationally accepted certificate will definitely extend the goodwill of Walton in the global market.
Abdur Razzak, Assistant Director of the connected department of Walton, informed that the company earlier has also achieved ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004 certificates for ensuring Quality Management System and Environmental Management System respectively. He opined that these achievements will intensify the image of Walton in international fields.
